Quality assurance
Independent checks of any provider's LiDAR against its specification, before you accept it or build on it.
We check delivered LiDAR against the specification it was bought to: point density, swath overlap and repeatability, classification quality and vertical accuracy against independent control, under ICSM v2.0 (Australia), LINZ (New Zealand) or USGS / ASPRS (United States) requirements.
Where other captures of the same ground exist, we compare against them as an independent check, point by point.
- Government aircraft LiDAR · 43 State survey marks held out of GroundMap's processing: median −3 mm, 33 of 43 within 10 cm, RMSE 0.12 m. Accuracy
- Two survey campaigns checked against each other · 13.2 mm held-out median mismatch after alignment · Satsop plant study
